I did the rims and calipers myself. I'm only 17. The rims look better in person.

There are a ton of stuff that you can do...

    -Rear drum to disc conversion
    -Intake
    -Exhaust
    -Wash/Wax
    -Rims/tires
    -de-badge/knauberize
    -DEHAZE HEADLIGHTS
    -Grille
-Paint various interior and exterior parts

Check out the stickies in all the forums and look at other peoples cars to get some more ideas.

    HTH and happy modding!

you could go for some simple touch up things too - like cleaning the haze off the headlights etc.

If it were me, I dont think I would want to accent my drum brakes. Rear caliper conversion is a must.

The problem with a body kit and stuff is that I'm young and work 16 hours a week. I only get half my paycheck (rest to college). So i need cheap stuff. I want an intake, tint, and headlights. I wanna tint my tail lights, some people say that look "noobish" though.

Just concentrate on keeping the car clean and neat -- buff out those headlights, give the car a good wash, wax, and interior detail. Then stand back and see where you're at -- how you're feeling about the car. You may find your projects fall into a clearer order of priority once the car starts to have that cohesive quality that cleanliness brings.

One of the New Cougar guys used Nightshade paint on his taillights and achieved a pretty nice look for short money.

One thing I would recommend against is doing anything superfluous that costs big money. Just save it -- you'll be quite happy with that decision later on.
