Hey, im 17 and my 1999 Contour Se is my first car. I have done some rim and caliper painting myself. Waiting to be fully activated so i can post pics of my car. So I'm looking forward to learning more and pumpin my girl up

All of the how-tos on aesthetics are the best place to start.

Cheap/free mods are good as well. Use this car to learn everything about a car in general, like what a TB is, what WOT means, why you do/do not 'boost,' etc.

car doesnt look half bad, but I think an excellent I dea that will make your ride look 100x better, go do our headlight restoration how-to. It makes every bit of difference, another cheap mod to do is known as "Hightower" where you remove the headlight assemblys from the car, bake them to get them apart, then paint the chrome bezel that is surrounding the inside of the headlight, you can paint them whatever color you like, Black seems to be the favorite here, but body color looks pretty sick on the darker colored cars, like yours.

Welcome, good to see you got a decent car for your first. I had a 89 Dodge Aries, that was 6-7 years ago. Then a few years later I came across a Mystique 5 years later I still have it! I love my Contique. I haven't done much to mine but when income tax comes back next year I'm going to do a few things to my house and pay some things off and hopefully have enough to finish my intake and redo my entire exhaust from the cat back. Great car to start out on, treat her well she'll treat you well.
