Thread: SVT - Mondeo Buttons

  1. #1

    Default SVT - Mondeo Buttons

Recently I had taken apart my dash and found that where the SVT buttons for the rear defroster are, there is a plug next to it in the blank dummy on the right side. On the mondeos I noticed they have a rear defrost button like ours, but also have a front defrost button where ours has a dummy blank. So my question is this.... Since the wires and plus are there for another button, if I got the mondeo part, would the wiring for that button, where there currently is no button? And would that give me a front heater? or something like heated mirrors??

Not to mention I highly doubt they installed a heated windsheild over here when there is no option for it.

Everything I've heard is that maybe there was one SVT with TC.

Well.... it would of been sweet wouldn't it, if they would of installed a heated front windshield thing and not put a button there. I guess this is what i'm down to, I got the wires there, and I assume there is probably a spot in the fuse box for it, suppose if i were to get a button and fuse it would add that turn off option? I guess it wouldn't really be a point to having it, unless it would help me drive in winter..... Which i've never had a problem with before, and never had a vehicle with TC yet....
