Thread: DPFE sensor

  1. Default DPFE sensor

well, my CEL was on and got the codes pulled....326 was the lucky draw. I then went on to check the DPFE sensor by:

    1. Disconnecting the pressure hoses
    2. connected a vacum pump to the ref port
    3. with key on signal voltage was at .10 volts (spec calls for .20-.70)
    5. I then applyed 9ish mm HG and it was around the specifed 4 volts
    6. I quickly relesed pressure and it was a bit slow to respond
    7. checked the electrical connections for any obvious dammage, they were fine

...though this procees I have detremined that the sensor is bad, but I don't want to spend $50 on a new sensor so I am trying to find workarounds this is a ll I got:

    Default Work-around.

Nice work. I would be a little worried about screwing up the EGR system though.
