this is for a 99 csvt. ok im pretty sure my trans needs a rebuild. its very sloppey and some gears can be hard to get into sometimes. 3rd gear makes a loud click noise when shifting into it. when i get a rebuild as far as upgrades go for better shiffting feel what should i get? ive been reading to a get a focus shift tower and the revised shift forks? as far as parts go can you guys give me part #s and with all this what should i tell my trans shop? when i got a new clutch put in i had a new slave cylinder put in, will i need another new one. its only got maybe 7000miles on it. o and yes i did search i just want more input. thanks

Did you inspect the shift cable ends first to make sure they aren't worn out?

nothing has been inspected. im pretty sure the trans has never been toched exept for clutch. when i first got the car i beat on the trans the 3rd day while crusin around. and now the trans kinda makes a winding sound. ive been babyin it ever sence. i blew my trans in my old car 3 times. but it was one of the worst ones dodge ever built.

Like Ziyad said...get ahold of Terry Haines. He is the MTX-75 Guru and will set you up perfectly.

Even if you don't use his service, he will tell you everything you need, every part number, every thing to check, ... everything. He's a very nice/friendly guy as well. I didn't know anything (still really dont) about Transmissions and he worked on the phone and through emails to get my trans built right. He also helped troubleshoot the trans I had in the car before I decided to get one from him.
