well, im doing a full 3L swap but dont plan on using the stock 3L 02 taurus shortblock pistons, crank, etc. I was looking for specs specific stock specs on these parts so I know where to go as far as purchasing aftermarket replacement parts to increase the compression ratio.

Im trying to figure out how to squeeze the most gains out of the engine possible before adding turbo, supercharger, or nitrous.

just get new pistons...cant remember where they are though, someone will chime in. Or instead of a straight 3l drop in, use svt heads and up for raised compression, thats what I would do...

    1) Make a list of the specs you need.
    2) Use the search to find what you can. (Don't be lazy, a lot of this has been covered). Don't forget to search the old forum that we just switched from.
    3) List out the specific dimensions/specs you still need. Don't be generic and just say you need info.

Am I the only person wondering why he wants to UP the C/R, before adding a turbo or supercharger? I can see with nitrous, but definitely not the T/C or S/C!!

I don't know what in the world he wants to do...

But that link I posted to the old forums was a sticky on the old forums "piston durability" and I believe it touches on Forced Induction. So needless to say, he better read it.
