What size is the gauge?

I believe it's 2 1/16". It fits perfectly into the Contour 3 gauge pod pillar.

This sounds so stupid, but due to budget constraints, will the Upper mount to a non-svt lower and a non-svt TB with little to no problem but still be able to see a little better performance/fuel economy?

Yes it will mount but the gains would be small. How noticeable? Hard to say. With the SVT TB and UIM, that makes a noticeable diffrence and the throttle responce improvement is night & day. Hope this helps!
