That's what I was missing.
The night before I got a P1383 crankshaft position timing retarded CEL and tonight car is kaput. Gave it one key, 2 keys, engine turns once and than that's it.
I honestly don't know what to do anymore, I think I'm going to start looking for another ride, maybe a Mazda 6 GT, but in my heart I don't want to let go of the 'tour; got attached to this damn thing

Well, the original one decided to give up which left me in a not so pleasant experience.
I got a 115A refurbished one today, they're freaking expensive but hey, it's in. Charge is 14v constant, no more battery lights on breaking but it's coming on when the motor revs past 5k; rather unusual since it didn't do that before. Turned everything on, especially the biggest consumers and the car behaved good.
Fixing this problem took care of another long time issue I've been having

Tonight I'm going to have the alternator checked out, see whether or not a need a 15A or a 30A but it's most likely a 15A since I don't think the zetec can handle a 30A.
