We had another CHUMPCAR World Series track event this past weekend. This event was a 14 hour endurance race on Atlanta Motor Speedway's ROVAL utilizing a combination of the infield ROad course as well as the nascar OVAL. Four drivers getting two stints lasting 1 hour and 45 minute each. The motor ran fantastic without any issues and continues to be a workhorse requiring little more than an oil change between races. We finished 9th placing putting us in our usual top 25-30% of all cars. Much smaller field of cars for this race than we've had at other events this year. The Contour is certainly outclassed by many of the cars, but we just kept doing laps where some of the faster cars either had mechanical issues or encounters with immovable objects that let us finish ahead of them.

We only had one minor issue where another car dove down into us in a turn. Banged the rear driver side door (nothing a hammer and spray can of Rustoleum can't fix). It did tear up the lip on another of our SVT wheels. That alloy seems pretty weak as this is the second rim we've shredded.

Speaking of shredding - we did a job on tires. The infield track surface is aggressive and the turns were tight generating a lot of wear on the outside edges. We went through 11 tires in 14 hours wearing most to the cord and chunking them out. Need to upgrade to adjustable camber plates for sure.

**EDIT: Please post this portion in the Classified Forums or in your Regional Classifieds.**

We've done 4 races this year - Road Atlanta, Daytona, VIR , and AMS. While we had some debugging to fix a stuttering engine issue and fuel starvation issue the first two races, the car still plugged along and finished the races. Then ran strong the last 2 races. Four endurance races without a DNF makes for a great racing season.
