dash clock

hey is this thing supposed to light up from the factory or is it always dark? could i just pop it out n add some kind of led to it or would that not work? and if it does have lights from the factory theres a fuse right? i didnt see one for the clock.

Yes its supposed to light up. Bright w/ lights off and dims w/ lights on.

The bulb is very fragile and prone to blowing. You can get them from Ford as I have several times. They are like $5. Go and get yourself one.

you can use LEDs and a resistor if you want though... there are how to's somewhere.

on the bulb in your clock there is a green filter on it. pull it from the bottom to remove the filter or it may rip. my bulb didnt come with the filter and i ripped mine so i used green paint. and that worked

ok thanks yeah id rather just get the factory bulb ill check at ford this weekend.
