Hi guys! I was curious as to what the best roads to drive in local areas were? If you can give up to 3 roads and give starting and finishing intersection. I'd say maybe a 15 mile radius would be sufficient! links to maps/images would be an added bonus!

My choices are Hill Road, between RT. 663 and Rt. 29, in Perkiomenville, Neiffer Road, between Game Farm Road and Big Road (Rt. 73), (Limerick to Zeiglersville), and Game Farm Road, between Neiffer Road and Main St. (Rt. 29), Limerick to Schwenksville. Honorable mention would be Pruss Hill Road, between Pleasantville Road and Swamp Pike.

Living in the mid-west all of my life, Detroit and now Chicago, limits your driving fun alot, but Michigan has Hell and Stockbridge, both on that map and here in my backyard there's this little stretch of road called Bluff Rd, also on that map, where its got a "mini corkscrew" and the road leading up to has nice, sweepers but the road isn't perfect and you've gotta watch out for the driveways along the way that have gravel on them sometimes:crazy:

Because of this need for curves, we've been going down to the Dragon since 2003....come join us! Check out the southeastern forum for more info:cool:

In eastern CT/western RI:

From 165 just inside RI:
North on Escoheag rd
NE on Falls River rd
North on Hudson Pond rd
West on Muddy Brook rd
South on Hazard rd
Hazard takes you back to Escoheag and back to 165

Pro's: Very well maintained roads, very twisty, narrow, heavily forested so very pretty
Cons: Heavily forested so watch out for wildlife, residential so keep the speed at a responsible level.

Rochester Road, across from my house. Anyone that's been on it always comments. In fact, that is the one Ryan and I tested out his new suspension on. Tight turns, hills, nice scenery, and a straightaway long enough to get into triple digits (not that I've ever done this ;)). This road, combined with Panama by Van Halen on stereo, is going to be my downfall one day.

Oh yeah, nice one!!

I know this is no where local but if you are ever in Las Gatos Ca check out this road. Really wish I had a chance to drive it. There was alot of elevation change. I highlighted the section that we covered. But it looks like going all the way to the end of the road would be good too.

My Favorite road to drive is Mountgretna Road from Elizabethtown pa to Lebanon pa. Dont look like much from a map stand point but other than a half mile or so in lawn and another mile through mountgretna is pretty much back smooth back roads with good views and some nice bends. I will caution to obey the speedlimit throught the small towns I mentioned as they are heavily patroled.
90% of the time when I drive this road is to and from work and after a 16 hr day of paving in high heat its a nice drive compared to sitting on a highway.
