WHAT IS THIS? Wire attach to brake pads?

Found this on ebay, curious as to a wire attached to the pads? Mine don't have this and I have never heard of anything like it nor have I seen anything like it on any of the brakes ive ever changed.:shrug:

Wear sensor. Just cut it off.

i think cougars are the ones that have break pad sensors :shrug: these will prob fit just yank the wires off...........

My EBC Greenstuffs came with the pad wear sensors....just cut them off and you're good to go.

I asked the same question when I took them out of the box.

Yeah early Cougars have them, they are nice when they work.

my brakes are almost new, don't need new ones. Just making sure my car isn't missing something.
