e-brake problem

i pulled my ebrake obviously too far. it popped and now doesnt work and the ebrake light stays lit up. how badly did i screw up?
im new to the contour world...
i have a 99 csvt.

What the F#@$!!! if you pulled enough to break it,you must be as strong as this guy........

hahaha. no it doesnt work at all...so i obviously broke a cable i take it?
and yeah the light stays on...im ripping out the center console this weekend to check it out.
any input though?

meh......you should be able to find out what you broke when you take the console out. I think you could take it off only by unscrewing the 2 screws it has in the back,and taking the shift boot off its really quite easy.you probably just broke the spring :shrug:

ok, i found the how to on the console and i will do that on saturday. hopefully its just the spring...

if not ill have to replace all of the e brake lines.
