OK, well. My car looks horrible.

Absolutely horrible.

OK. Paint isn't THAT bad anywhere but the front fenders and the hood.. and the rear bumper. The big black patch is from where I was pressure washing and the paint just.. came off.

I have been planning to sand down the hood and spray-can it. A crappy can-job that NEARLY matches would surely be better than these big grey patches, no?

Just looking for tips on how to make it look as good as it can.

Get bagged to help you with duplicolor paint match. I've seen some pretty good results on here with just rattle can.

i just did the trunklid on my beater car, turned out pretty good:shrug:

your gonna have to sand yours all the way down and prime it first.
duplicolor color and primer, and clear and a bunch of wet sanding between coats

I did a rattle can job on my fenders after one side rusted through. I just went to the paint store and they mixed me up a spray can full for like 15 bux or so. It looks You have the same color as mine which is Teal metallic blue, or Ford paint code RD.
