Hi Everyone,
It's great to be back!
I've decided to part ways with my beloved green '99 CSVT. Pictures are here: https://picasaweb.google.com/108624047425333200464/1999CSVTForSale?authkey=Gv1sRgCLCZiYma1o2YMg Unfortunately I've moved in to the city (Washington DC) and no longer drive much. I'd rather see this go to a loving home.
I got it back in December of 2008, 25k miles ago, and it's been a great daily driver for me (and a fun car to take on trips too). Although I don't know the previous owner, they didn't make any mods and it's clear the car wasn't driven hard.
I have been diligent about changing the oil every 3k miles.
Here's a run-down of the condition:
The good:
- Exterior is in good condition. Really looks nice overall, see the pictures. Head lamp lenses have been recently polished and are very clear.
- Interior condition is beautiful. Seats are firm, leather has been cared for. Sun roof works well
- Engine is in good condition. Car has not been driven hard, and has not been modified. All stock.
- I have always taken the car in for full service oil changes every 3,000 miles.
- A VERY fun car to drive. Tires are Bridgestone Potenza 225/50ZR-16, they have 20k miles on them and still have life left in them.
Issues:
- Steering slips slightly when throttle is applied at highway speeds, mechanic said this is because the front right ball join is loose.
- Due for an engine tune up. Rough idle when first started in the cold, frosting visible on the spark wires.
- Clutch will probably need to be replaced soon.
- A/C doesn’t work – doesn’t hold the fluid. Heater and fan works well.
- One fog lamp works, one does not
- Power steering fluid needs to be treated.
- Cruise control does not work.
- Vanity mirror light does not work.
- Radio antenna does not automatically extend/retract (can be done manually)
- Some rust on the inside bottom of the front doors, only visible on inside, hasn’t noticeably spread in the three years I’ve owned
- Some warping on the edges of SVT bottom side runners. Not major.
- If you look close you'll see some evidence of hail damage on the hood, roof, and trunk.
- A fairly deep scratch on the passenger door (see photo)
- A couple other condition points noted on the photos.
