point one...SVTtour is a fantastic member to deal with
point two
Just make sure you get the right unit from your old part number
I got a new one after finding out about the loud "moaning" sounds //a defective unit produces
The new one I got made the problem worse/it was listed as the right part for my car
When i got the right part..silence

Sorry for not getting back. I've been dealing with hell the past few days. Soooo, got the car up on the ramps to change out the VSS. Got it out, harness stayed behind. Turns out that a squirrel or mouse had gotten to the wiring. So I take a close look at the AIC. Same deal. Soldered it back together and bang. The damn thing idles like a champ. Trying to sort the cooling issue now. Previous owner thinks its a head gasket but I'm not so sure, there is definitely pressure building up in the cooling system that is excessive. I'll check the thermostat, he claims the pump was replaced but it looks like coolant is leaking from it so my guess is that it wasn't installed properly. Then I'll get the think leak down tested. But that is neither here nor there. Thanks guys, as always great community this CEG thingy.
