Well...I finally finished painting my CSVT yesterday. I did a 2-tone paint scheme. Cobalt Blue Metallic on the bottom, and Midnight Charcoal on the hood, roof, and trunk. I also got new wheels over the winter, as well custom made tail lights. What does everyone think?

HONEST OPINIONS ARE APPRECIATED!!!:cool::cool::cool::cool:

Looks great man ... I love seeing us go outside the box on colors and paint schemes I mean we didn't get a lot of choices from factory I got some ideas for mine when the time comes ...for now she's a well running hooptie Lol

Love the paint scheme. Not a huge fan of the wheels or lights. I think it would look amazing with a set of Centerline Storm's or Focus SVT's, plus tinted pre-98 trunklid or stock post 98 tails. But awesome job on the paint. I've always wondered why Ford didn't do a blue from the factory since that seems like one of their staple colours for every model.

I like the blue. The two tone I'm just not feeling at all. Tail lights are a little weird, and don't look to fit in. The wheels are nice, but the finish of them make them seem like they're dirty.

I was going to say it looks alot like the moonlight blue from those years. I really digging the two tone look

Not to bad I like the first two pics:drool: ,but not feeling the gray color up close. Maybe do the spoiler in the blue :shrug:

Nice car, wasn't feeling the wheels at first but the more I looked at them the more I liked them. I like the paint and think that maybe the problem I had with the wheels has more to do with the suspension than the wheels themselves. Again, very nice work.

I can say I've honestly never seen a set of tail lights like that - any closer pics?

good look... reminds me of something I've seen in my garage :laugh: that's OK though because I've got carbon fiber where you have charcoal black

They look like the tails you can get for the Escort ZX2's... and then someone did a lot of work to retro fit them in the Tour tails.

Did you paint it yourself and what product did you use? Id like it more if you had your windows tinted, that being said good work :D

First off...THANK YOU everyone for the feedback. Now to answer questions and explain my choices...

WHEELS: i originally wanted to use 6-spoke FSVT wheels. Had a set lined up, but the buy backed out, so there went that. I then found chrome 7-spoke split-spoke Kazera wheels, but for $1600, I'm just gonna save up for those :) So I got what i could afford. And yes...they are from Pep Boys. What i dont like about them is they get dirty quick and seem to hold the dirt on. I plan on either powdercoating them or clear coating them. Shine em up and make them easier to clean.

PAINT: I did paint it myself, and I can thank Rustoleum for the color (and when i say "Rustoleum", I mean spray paint. YES...SPRAY PAINT). Went to a couple places to match the paint, yet no one could. The blue, yes. The metallic, no. The color flop, no. So my decision was made to use spray cans so i could get the exact color i wanted. I did, however, have a hard time figuring out the other color. Drew up using silver on top, and i liked it. But I used the charcoal on some interior pieces, and I liked that too. It doesnt have the same metallic content as the blue, but it does have almost a carbon fiber black/gray/gold flop to it, which i do like. I may try to mist some silver over the charcoal to possibly give it some more sparkle to match the blue.

MISC: The tail lights are actually trailor tail lights, 60 LEDs each! BRIGHT AS $#!+. Had to black out the center part because they would blind people behind me at traffic lights. They didnt take to well to tinting. I think they look better with the black housing, as opposed to chrome/euro look. The set that is on now is basically a mock up set for fitment and layout of the set that I am working on now. It will be more of a "3D" look and will flow better with the original tail light setup. "Trial and error type of thing". I do plan on lowering the car (Andy) and tinting the windows. Also some more exhaust work and possibly a 3L???

While I like the idea of the tails, Something looks off, Wondering if you put a clear lens over the enclosure.
