Why take off the front bumper? I had no issues with it being on. I only removed the hood.

Don't worry too much about the vacuum lines...I think I broke every one of mine accidently cuz they were so brittle. I just went to Advanced and got some replacement rubber vacuum hose...works just as good as long as you know where to hook it all up.

Good luck with the swap! You'll be pleased, trust me. I hope to see it on RFP this year.

dad would like to fix it up, it's got a really bad crack that runs from the driver side foglight all the way down to the bottom.

and i dont think it'll be done for RFP, maybe i dont know. even so, i probably wont bring it. I'll be in the CTS-V. IF we even go this year, there's another event that dad wants to do that day too.

            just a tad bit update.

i pulled the cabin air filter out; i still have to get a new one. i know they are dirt cheap.

Also, with what happened to that screw in my front bumper, i got fed up with WD-40 and bought some WD-40 on steroids.

            PB Blaster!

those two bottles should hold up for now, i know i'll be going back for more. it's 4.99 a bottle!
and NO the Corona is NOT mine

Don't use PB around plastic or rubber or you will end up replacing it.

The problem with America is stupidity.
I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity,
but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

Uh, hmm, well, uh, I don't know where he's not. It wouldnt be inaccurate to assume that I couldnt exactly not say that it is or isnt almost partially incorrect. Oh, on the contrary. I'm possibly more or less not definitely rejecting the idea that in no way with any amount of uncertainty that I undeniably do or do not know where he shouldnt probably be, if that indeed wasnt where he isnt. Even if he wasnt at where I knew he was, thatd mean Id really have to know where he wasn't.

PB Blaster works wonders! Took me around 10 minutes to get that one side loose and it just came right off.

Now I'm just waiting for dad to come home from work with a new valve for the air compressor and a new t-45 torx. Then i will proceed to take the cailpers/rotors off and try to get the hub apart as well.

                      UPDATE:

Tore the brakes/rotors off, got the axles out, and the ypipe off over the weekend, working on this when I had time. We had two car shows on Saturday so we only really worked on it Sunday.

before anyone says "you could have left the strut in". The reason the Driver's side is out is because we didn't replace that LCA back when i wrecked the car. But, with the motor coming out, we're gonna replace it now.

                      PICS!
                      driver's side

                      passenger side

                      the exhaust/y pipe removal.

                      we broke a few bolts...

                      it finally came out

                      ewh...blech

more room to work with now. =)

today, I'm am going to un-hook the shifter cables, and clutch line. I'm also going to try and find an emprty bucket and drain the transmission while in down there as well. We've still got a few bolts to take off up top and the majority of the wires and harness will be off the motor. Dad plans to have this thing out by Saturday.
