Hello SVT community, I just bought my first SVT a few months ago, it is a 99 Silver with only 92K, I'm still amazed of how goes 0-80 miles in a heartbeat, but my the other hand heart broken because it is not a great commuter, I have way too many stops and gears shifting on weekdays mornings and evenings,

5 speed manual transmission

I have a '98 SVT that's been sitting in my garage for about 5 years now that I want to start working on. I am in need of a manual transmission, as the housing of the one that came off the car was cracked.
Ideally, I'd like to find one that has been rebuilt and has a limited slip diff, but at this point I'm willing to consider anything I can find. If anyone knows where I could find one, please let me know, this is the biggest obstacle right now to get the project going on. My email is ortegajose24@yahoo.com

Thanks,

Jose

What I recommend to just get the car up and running is to get a normal MTX at a scrapyard until you can either buy or build one in SVT spec. I'm actually thinking about trying to find another MTX myself to put in even longer gears than SVT spec so that it has a slightly higher top speed for gas mileage if I ever turbo my 97 sport. How bad is it cracked? Maybe you can find someone that will weld it?

I have a 99 trans with 120k and 3rd gear grind and no diff. Ill sell cheap or id sell just the case if interested.
