Yes how would one go the cheap rate on fixing this problem we had it set in time then about 15 mins later it jumped again  so we belive its a bad timming belt tensioner. In my repair book it shows them adding a spring to it to help tighten the tensioner dose any one know where to get this or any place that will sell a timming belt tensioner for a decent price cause all the auto parts i called is like any where from $80 to $120 which is outragious

any help would be great thanks in advance

Okay.

If you dont know anything about this timing belt let me tell you this, it is an absolute PITA to do. My friend Bill and I did it about 3-6 times before we got timing right... then the VCT sensor decided to blow

Anywho, For once, changing the timing belt is utterly useless unless you dont change the idlers and tensioner.

Go to Autozone and get the two idlers and the tensioner assembly, thats the reason that the timing belt fails, because the idlers and tensioner fail.

Next. GO to www.zxtuner.com and get the Zetec Timing Belt change kit, it includes a cam alignment tool and a Crankshaft locking tool, trust me... they are entirely worth their weight in gold ($16?). With the Cams aligned and braced, use a torx bit to loosen the bolts on the cam gears, so they can freely spin, then slide the belt in place, then tighten the tensioner THEN tighten the cam gears as tightly as you can. Why do this step you might ask? If you do not, you will either jump timing, OR your timing belt will be too tight and try to walk itself off the gears. (otherwise known as "timing belt walk").

well the timming belt is fine i bought the car for $500 non working and figerd out it was the timming which we set it pretty easy useing some wrenchs to hold the cams and after we set the time it fired right up and run like a charm for about 10 mins then it jumped time again cause the POS tensioner poped out of place so i will need a new tensioner for it which auto zone wants $115 which is way to high

I found a guy on ebay that has them for $45 shipped so im thinking about going that rout but i read in my repair gudie that u can use a screw and what looks to be a drum brake spring to hold the tensioner in place so im going to try that rout first and see if we can fix it

like said earlier, make sure you change the idlers also or you might end up doing it a third time. plus you might want to give Bill Jenkins a shout, i did not pay much more that $50.00 for the tensioner through ford.

Wow $50 through ford usely here the ford place is about 2x times as high as the auto parts store but i will give them a call

Get the whole timing kit for 160. Napa also has the kit. I did one this pass weekend on a ZX2 escort 2.0L VCT. Took about 4 hours. But that is the 5th one I've done so far.
