  • Soooooo sad today

I have a very good friend, I have known her for 5-6 years through the car game here, and we have became very good friends. Well 3 weeks ago she had a massive stroke and went into a coma, she was showing good signs and they moved her to a perminant care facility to hopefully wake up, and yesterday they found that she had a severe staff infection in her blood and the doctor this morning declared her brain dead, so now here in a few they will be removing the breathing tube and allowing her to go in peace. I cant even concentrate today cause of this.

She is only 41 and has a 18 year old daughter and a 16 year old son.

        sorry to hear...:(

my sister-in-law's brother just got out of the hospital after a two weeks for a staph infection. He still has a tube going into his heart feeding him the antiobiotics, scary stuff.

My prayers are with you and her family. I'm also scared of strokes and I know one of these days someone I know will have one and possibly be in the same situation.

Strokes are very dangerous during, after and in the healing process. Anything that behaves as a mild cold when you're healthy can literally kill you in the months recovering from a stroke. It's very sad and I'm sorry buddy. My Dad went in a similar way, except his lungs completely filled with fluid instead of a staph infection. Doctors told me he was to make a complete recovery, which made it even harder.

I will never trust a Doctor's word; I will only trust a Doctor to do their job to the best of their ability.

Ryan, I am truly sorry to hear this. My aunt just died of the same thing about 6 months ago; and it wasn't easy. My condolences to you and evreyone else involved. It's tough to see this happen to such a great guy.

i don't know her full story, but my dad died of basically the same thing in june. he had a feeding tube... those things are a constant source of infection.

                          sorry to hear ryan.

I dont know if she had a feeding tube or not, she had a breathing tube but then she started to breathe on her own and they removed it, then took a bunch of steps back and they had to intubate her again and thats when things went bad cause she was already too far gone for it to do any good.

This world will be a little less bright without her in it thats for sure
