Focus 2.0 w/Cosworth head, will it work with contour 2.0

I contacted the people at FocusSport to ask them if the Cosworth Racing head setup would work on the contour's 2L zetec. They said that they have never worked on the 2L contour version of the zetec so they couldn't be sure. Any body know if the setups are compatible.

97 2.0L Contour
01 F250 S/D 6.8L V10
06 Fusion SEL V6 3.0L

well its designed for the zetec so i think it would work however you can get an FRPP head here for less and i think it flows as good or better.

It should work. The only difference was that some of the Contour Zetecs (95-97) had hydraulic lifters. But that wouldn't affect them machining the head.

I've gotta agree on the FRPP head. Cheaper and better. Especially for FI.

IIRC the Focus didnt have VCT either

There's someone on NECO who put a FRPP head on his VCT Zetec. Ness1216

Here are the things you need:
focus cams and pulleys
focus valve cover, gasket, and bolts
possibly focus timing belt cover plate
possibly focus timing idler pulley
Tuning for removal of VCT
Cam position sensor is on the intake and is different

This may be easier on an earlier non-VCT Zetec
