Cam seal direction?

OK, this is the first time I've been inside a Zetec. I'm putting new camshaft oil seals on, and I can't find a decent picture of which way the seals are supposed to go. Does the spring go inside (facing the head) or out (facing the pulley)?:shrug:

the spring always faces in, whether its a cam seal, crank seal, or any other shaft seal.
