No first gear

So I have searched for a while now and still can't find a thread with my problem, if someone else can that would be awesome. The problem I'm having is that a couple nights ago I was pulling away from a stop and I couldn't get it in first gear. When I got it home I noticed that the bushing in the black cable end was gone so I rigged a temporary bushing. After I rigged the bushing I still can not get it in first, all other gears are fine only reverse has givin me any problems (refused to go in once) which makes me think that the problem is still cables/ends.

Unfortunately the black cable end is extinct and your only option would be rigging something to work or buying an upgraded cable end set.

Yea I know. I spent hours trying to find one. I'm setting up an apointment tomorrow to have the cables replaced. I rigged something and it still didn't work.
