Magnaflow tips

I was wondering if anyone has had an issue with installing this tip...Well maybe not an issue maybe how did you have yours installed.
I just came from a local muffler shop to have mine installed(magnaflow #35122).I stopped him once I saw him get the saw and took aim at the back of my muffler.He said it was necessary to cut it there since the tip was a lil long.Is that correct?:shrug: He wanted to fab in a new ss pipe so the tip wouldn't stick out beyond the stock location.

I would say this is more of a question of how you would like it installed. do you want the new exhaust tip to stick out as far as the stock exhaust time or a bit more or less?

On my SVT there where magnaflow mufflers and tips installed. there is a short pipe between the two. I'll try to get a picture tonight.
