magnaflow resonator or oval muffler

Can anyone tell me what difference between a magnaflow oval muffler and magnaflow perforated core resonator with stock svt rear mufflers?

I used the 22" magnaflow oval muffler as middle resonator (#10435) but was like a muffler in the rear (loud)

now, there is two resonators
A) #14445 perforated core size 2.0", 14" length, 2.25" inlet/oulet
B) #14415 perforated core size 2.5", 14" length, 2.25" inlet/oulet

my question is, which one is louder?
muffler or resonator, and what resonator do I have to choice?

any idea?

I'd think you want to stick with the 2.5 core, other wise you would be replacing one restriction with another of the same size.
