2.5+91gt escort= fun

I just saw one yesterday at a car show. Escort GT with a Mazda 2.5L V6. He did a horrible job but I bet it is still fun to drive.

bummer I wanted to see one
EDIT just did a GOOGLE search and found this

Here is my old one

After owning one I realized that a turbo escort is much better than a V6 escort.

Those little suckers handle great with a few parts and it is really a shame to mess with that by putting that heavy KLZE in the front of it. BUT DAMN ARE THEY FAST WITH A KLZE.

after being bored and cruseing the net i found a few 90s gt escorts for cheap i like them fun littel cars i did some meshureing and it looks like the 2.5will fit with very slight moding of the engine bay and i have an extra rod shift mtx that that will work in the gt cause they wer all rod shift so i need a 2.5 with harnes and ecu wich i can get for about 300$ motor harness and mounts most of the mounts will work might have to go with some mazda mounts from a mx6 no biggy big brake convertion to stop all this fun so for about 1500$ -2000$ i can get my self a nice fast littel car what u guys think i think it would be fun to pull up next to a hondush and have him hear that v6 scream as i pull away witout haveing to redline it

You only need to intermix motor mounts from a 2.5L V6 and transaxle from Probe GT, and you have a rev-happy V6 which virtually drops right in.

I had an EGT as well and I agree its a fun little car to drive. After researching mods I decided to go the 1.8 BP Turbo route instead of the MX6/probe GT V6. You can go with the V6 from the MX3 as well but that's just a waist of time IMO.To the OP go to FEOA.net as someone suggested earlier. You will see that almost every swap has been tried. The 2.5L from the contour will not work without major modifications. If you have the time and money then go for it, but just listen to the advice that others are giving to ya.
