Im running a 3L Turbo. EGR system was originally on the car however I have removed it using a PRT kit. Does the DPFE have to be connected anyways?

The DPFE can be left disconnected and it doesnt throw a code? The last 3.0L swap I did Ieft the solenoid and dpfe sensor, vacuum still goes to the dpfe ref (iirc), other side vented. No codes thus far. This is also how I did it on my personal old svt with factory ecu to pass inspection iirc.95 SeVT 3.0L
