Have you seen this happen to our engines?

The tech said it was a 2001 to 2007 MY issue, so unless we've swapped to later blocks than what came with our Contours and Mystiques, it shouldn't be much of an issue, tho it does make me wonder a bit about the 3.0L Duratec in my low miles 2008 Milan Premier. (Fusion/MKZ in a Mercury suit). Sort of looks like Ford sourced some crappy cam cap bolts.

Beans, you have the TSB number you mentioned?

Over the years, I did a lot of cam work to my old first gen Taurus SHO motor (Aluminum heads), and you absolutely have to own the correct inch-pound torque wrench for the cam cap bolts threaded into Aluminum, and you'd also better have the correct Heli-coil set on hand, because it's stupid-easy to strip the threads in these heads.
