Tips and tricks for engine removal process?

Is there a decent writeup available here that has the basic steps and any tips for removing the motor from a 2000 SVT? I recently acquired a 2000 SVT with a serious motor issue so I figure I will look at doing the 3.0L swap but I would like to read up on the steps to remove the motor from the car. I have a lot of mechanical experience but not much experience with FWD cars.
