Should I expect any issues when pulling my SE heads off of my 05 Escape block, and swapping in 98 Taurus 3L split-port heads? I've got the electric water pump on the way, which is the only issue I'm positive about. I'm expecting everything to line up properly, but what about the oil drains and the one feed that I've sealed in the block, for using the 2.5L heads? Will I need to keep everything sealed, or are there corresponding drains & a pressure port in the heads that I'll be putting on?

I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row and determine if maybe I should just swap in a complete rebuilt 3L instead of just the heads.

SicSE. I don't ever recall anyone placing 01 heads on a newer 03+ 3L motors.
Especially on here. I don't know about neco though. So you will be the first.

The old timers that did the swaps with the 01 motors are long gone. Buckshot would know...pm him. Warmonger has been around...and i'm sure he would know something also. PM both of them and see/post what they say.
