    Install was straight forward, no problems starting and car is running awesome.

    The '98 SVT LIM, fuel rail, and orange 19# injectors will be added soon with the tuning.

        Build notes:

        Did the install over three days with aircougar, taking out time. swap went very well. one problem was we over tightened and broke one of the bolts for the water cross over tube in the head. when filing it down to re-drill and tap we got into the head alittle. cause it to leak when we started the car. but using the thicker taurus o-ring and waterpump sealer it was taken care of. I also had problems with the upper radiator hose. Mine was folded over at some point which lead to it failing adbrutly, it got coolant everywhere. replaced with a used hose and that one split also but didn't leak as bad. I believe the next one has held up so far, but have the samco hose to replace it with.

        notes on the turbo install are many and long so I will not get into that here. its all in the linked build thread above.

          1998.5 Contour SVT
          ~124,000 miles on body (actual motor unknown)
          Port-matched, 3L block, 3L heads, SVT cams, SVT UIM, SVT TB
          ~44,000 miles on 2005 3L Taurus motor

          Install was straight forward for the most part, minus some part issues Car is running good without a tune, but will get as soon as I can. Car tends to pulse/surge under light throttle or coasting. It may be due to plugs or wires. The car was also extremely raspy with headers, no resonator, high flow cat, stock pipes, and mufflers. I don't recommend this setup for anyone. I placed a magnaflow muffler in the resonator spot and it made it much more livable. 2.5" pipes with straight pipes instead of mufflers maybe next.

            236,853KM (206,xxx when motor blew)
            2003 Escape 3L, 3L UIM/LIM with SVT Cams, no secondaries, 42lb injectors, Weapon R Headers and Y-Pipe, CTA Exhaust (2.5inch that splits into dual 2.25inch pipes) with magnaflow resonator.
            Swap went well and I love having a 3L. I have put 30,000km on this motor so far.

            2004 3L Taurus with 20k miles on it. Full 3L with 3L cams (best swap ihmo) with 42lb injectors, no secondaries, MSDS Headers and Y-Pipe, 2.5inch piping with stock resonator and one muffler in centre of car (sounded like a beast outta hell)
            *Sold vehicle one month after swap was completed because I wanted a black SVT instead of my silver one!*

              Build is going slow but nearing completion. As stated in my thread, shift cables have presented a problem, but nothing too major. The only reason my build is taking so long is due to money issues and parts being back ordered.

                        * 2004 Sable 3 liter 20k miles
                        * 04 3 liter cams,
                        * 04 3 liter intake manifold
                        * 04 valve covers - professionally powder coated silvervein. Built in PCV on the back cover.
                        * 04 throttle body w/ integrated IAC, Taurus cable bracket. Integrated IAC cleans up the engine bay a LOT. The draw back is that the car does not currently have cruise control and the car is WOT at half pedal travel. I prefer it this way as the throttle response is amazing. This can be 'fixed' by shortening the length on the bracket, a quick cut and weld job I have not had a chance to do yet.
                        * 04 Taurus fuel rail - BIG fuel rail
                        * Nautilus fuel block
                        * The whole motor has been painted with Goodson paint, its good to SUSTAINED temps of 1500 degrees and helps dissipate heat.
                        * Oil Galley has been tapped and plugged for an oil return from a super or turbo charger (also for an oil accumulator if you wish).

                        * Newest escape oil pan, no later revisions then this one!
                        * BAT inlet pipe,
                        * KKM MAF adaptor
                        * K&N filter
                        * Stock SVT MAF - painted with goodson paint

                        * Car is currently running on the old tune. The lower 02's have been turned off, and the car runs at 11:1 - 12.5:1 at WOT, there is some power left. It does have throttle hang that will need to be tuned out (all of these things can be done by any tuner worth his salt)
                        * NO EGR! - no exhaust gas to dirty up the intake. no hot recirc pipe to burn wires. cut out half of the vacuum lines when removing this. It will need to be turned off in the tune (see above)
                        * 2.5" Trubendz Magnaflow exhaust - needs to be fitted. I put it on as best as I could in my garage. It should not cost much for a shop to get it fitting pretty.
                        * 19# svt injectors. probably near the end of their range, i would guesstimate at about 85-90&#37; duty cycle at WOT. I would recommend a set of 24 or 32# injectors (oval port spray pattern)
                        * Magnacore wires
                        * Oil pressure and temp
                        * LC1 wideband

                        Suspension and Braking

                        * D2 performance coilovers Less than 6k miles on this set up, new mounts were done on initial install.

                              I took a couple months on the install. The engine failed in the summer, and it took me a couple months to collect all of the parts. Then, I started working on the Bugzuki Plate idea, and kept messing with the ports. It was also winter and I was working outside.

                              Started and ran great the first time, but now, I am suffering from the before mentioned poor gas mileage. I need to get it tuned.

                              Pulls hard and is a lot of fun, when I can afford the gas.
