looking forward to getting the Se up to my house so I can start working on things for the spring. Its near time to get the insurance back on the cars so that I can actually drive them again now that the weather is nicer.
If all goes well, my SVT will have a hand-crank from a '96 Mondeo (MKII). I have purchased the parts from eBay. Who knows how long it will take to ship, but it'd be entertaining to have the thing installed before SZ. My moonroof works "okay" for now so I'm keeping the motor as backup in case I hate manual operation.
yup the mystique rolled over 212k on the way to work this morning. its really something else. Although it scared me last week as I started hearing what I can discribe as a knocking noise. turns out I believe its a lifter that is making noise until that engine is fully warmed up. either way what happens happens but after 9 years and ~130k miles I have driven the car I am attached to it.
after about 2 to 3 months I finally get done to the SeVT and got a few things done. Well the one major thing I got done was swapping the FSVT wheels off the car. Its now on a set of E1's. I also fitted a standard typeH bov on the car. Then I took it for a drive. There was absolutely no traction on the top end. Not sure if if was just the car or the all-seasons that I have on it now.
