well I think I may have narrowed down where the problem is that makes the instrument cluster cut out and stop working. I believe there is a loose connection to the interior fuse panel. The connector on the left top that feeds the under dash harness. when the cluster cuts out if I open the fuse panel and then sometimes grab and move some of those wires the cluster will kick back on. So as planned I need to pull the fuse panel out and check all the connections.

Well things are starting to move forward on the contour. I installed to door sills from the group buy tonight as well as washed the car.

As for my instrument cluster problem I think I have an idea of where the problem is. If I move the wires that run into the interior fuse panel then the cluster will start working again. So there must be a loose connection or a problem with the fuse panel. Time to dig into it.

well I think I may have an idea of why the instrument cluster will randomly stop working. When it did this last night if I openned or moved the wires attached to the interior fuse panel it would pretty much instantly cause the cluster to kick back on. So I think I need to get under the dash and look for back connections and worn wires. I want to try to tape the harness up more near any points it could be rubbing. I should also unplugg everything and plug it back in and clean connections as needed. ...

well last week I installed the DDM tuning HID kit. Worked out great. I got to try it out in the rain friday night and I was able to see really well.

Took the SVT to a meet up in NH and it drove great. I have only seen one issue that maybe coming up. I am wondering if there is a problem with the alternator/voltage regulator. sometime the charging voltage will drop to 14 volts. other time it just up towards 15 volts. when it nead 15 volts the guages in the guage pod start flickering ...

1. I want to pull the turbo again for a few reasons. pulled turbo yesterday (4/27), installed 5/1

• up-pipe needs to be rewrapped with header wrap. might use the silicone paint this time done 5/1
• I want to put the 8 lb spring back into the wastegate. currently have a 3# spring installed yesterday (4/27)
• install the manual remote
