    yup, its been like 2.5 months since I have done anything with the contour. It sat parked in the garage since returning from SZ and its been apart since June 2nd. Well that is about to change. I finally went with a 6 puck clutch kit from Clutchnet. Its showing up today . Plan is to check the flywheel for flatness tonight and start the install tomorrow.

    I need to drive this car again, getting alittle punchy with the other cars, I want boost

  2. engine mount?

    I need the passenger's side mount for a 1999 Mystique 2.5L Auto Transmission, part #F8RZ-6038-FA. According to the dealer, that has been discountined and no Ford dealers in the USA have any in stock.

    Any suggestions? I've searched online and didn't find anything useful. Thank you!

  3. the SVT wows and fails all at the same time

    With all this rain I lucked out big time this past weekend. The weather was perfect and I was able to cruise around in the SVT all weekend.

    First the fail. I think the voltage regulator is starting to go. I got flickering dash lights and volt guage. It went away but I can sometimes see the volt guage light flickering. It also drops alot of voltage sometime when coming to a stop and releasing the clutch. Seems to me it might need the wiring fix as all the lights dim when this ...

  4. nothing new

    well no updates on the contour. its been apart since the beginning of the month

    I am close to figuring out what to do about a clutch. Should have some definative answers as why the Spec disk failed. Other then that I might still try a clutchnet disk and pressure plate.

    I think that I might go back to stock again to break a new clutch in. I don't want to risk putting to much power through a new clutch with the turbo. at this point it would only take swapping ...

  5. clutch issues, cont ...

    well last week I finally was able to pull the mtx and the clutch to find out what was going on. Turns out the Spec Stage 3+ clutch failed the springs came out of the hub just like has happened to many others. Its to bad I can't just repalce it as I liked the clutch but I know it will just do the same thing again. So now come the time to figure out what clutch I should put in the car now. At this time I am thinking of cluchnet.com clutch kit. Just need to figure out what one to go with. ...
