well this past saturday was one of the few times that ice was almost a problem. coming up to a stop sign there was some ice. car starts to slide and there is a car infront of me. the abs does its job and I am able to steer the car away from the car at the stop sign. I did end up in the other lane but nothing happened. Luckly I was already slowing down. only recall one other time where ice was an issue. This was under a highway overpass at an off ramp. there was already a car that was ...
the issue with the Se isn't as bad as I was thinking it was. I think its just running very rich. As noted last night when it was pegging the a/f guage which is set to display a max of 10:1 a/f. otherwise it seems to be running very strong at 12 psi. in the cool air last night it was hitting 13 psi. so its either making more power or the falkens don't grip as well in the cooler weather as it would very easily spin the wheels. man do the rpms shoot up fast when that happens. I also swapped the ...
The SVT has been running really strong. The clutch isn't hasn't been acting up as much as it was, but I am doing alot of highway driving with it currently. The fuel pump still acts up but it doesn't seem to be getting worse. Over the weekend I got it washed up and I put the aftermarket wheels back onto it. The FSVT wheels where nice but the tread is gone on the tires. Now two of the KDWs are not great either but I have them in the rear, they have inner edge wear. The back camber isn't as bad ...
Well most are aware of the Spec clutch failure that I had. Well that is behind me and I now have 600 miles on my Clutchnet clutch setup. So far so good. I also proceeded to up the boost from 8 to 12 psi. That is something else. It finally want to just break the wheels free like all the time. Fuel and egts are good. now the problem, it appears that the engine is done. I was observing a high rpm/load/throttle/boost hessitation or miss. So I decided to pull the ...
well half way there anyway . last night I installed my new clutchnet 6 puck clutch disk and uprated pressure palte. Using the engine support bar I got from harbor freight I was able to jack the mtx up into place and get it bolted up. I then got everything connected that I could, wiring, axles, etc and bleed the clutch and filled the mtx with fluid. I was able to turn the car on last night and listen to the radio alittle. impressions on the uprated Clutchnet pressure plate. ...
