I tried to change my oil pan today; from leaky to new; and guess what? One oil pan bolt is nestled nicely behind the subframe. You can't get to it without lifting the engine. WONDERFUL. So I change my oil anyway and put on a different y-pipe so the tiny hole won't get rubbed any bigger. Man I hate this car. :bah:

I was under the impression that the oil pan could be removed without moving the engine/subframe? It may take creativity on your part, but fixing things on these cars often does so that wouldnt be anything new.

Unfortunately, creativity would involve a lift and an engine hoist. :( I guess I'll just buy Mobil 1 by the case and check my oil every day.

Eric, you think bout removing the passenger wheel and using a 13mm wrench on them there two bolts? Or you talking about a bolt somewheres else? That's the only ones I can think of you'd be talking about.

See since I'm changing the headers out for stock, I figure I'll wait and drop the bugger down enough to do all that at once. No more 35+ hour header install for me!

Actually Brad called dibs like two weeks before the dragon run. Our car is currently at Blindside customs getting an exhaust put on.

Actually, several people have already called dibs. I guess I'll have to put 'em on ebay and let everyone fight it out for 'em. :(

Yes Ross, you may not have my headers. You also may not have the matching y-pipe or modded EGR tube that's a must for installing these headuhz.

Cool. That's just what I always didn't want.

Well good, I'm glad I almost didn't give you just what you never wanted in the first place. Good not doing business with you.
BTW Ross - this new SVT sway bar with poly bushings is exactly what I needed to keep my little tool box from sliding around my trunk. Thanks.

The sway bar is better used in place of your stock sway bar and not as a cargo securing system in the trunk. You can find other ways to secure your tool box, maybe use your stock sway bar.

OR, leave Kremits bar in the trunk, and buy my sway bar too to use for the suspension. 3 sway bars > 2

He can buy my other SVT rear sway bar as well. 4>3>2

I think I'll just go buy some steel stock rod and throw a couple feet of it in the trunk. Now we're shakin' babies.
