Man, I wish the stage 3 felt like a stage 1 clutch. Trying to launch sucks.

Stock Mystique 15" wheels/General crappy tires
v6/atx
Mods at the time: Eibachs, opt'd y-pipe/tb, svt exhaust, k&n intake, sct flip-chip

That run was a 16.3 @ 83.8mph... That was the run that made me finally realize that it wasn't worth trying to get an atx into the high 15's... I think headers and a good tune would've done it though... It would've helped if I didn't get stuck waiting for the staging lanes to clear for so long that my intake got heat soaked by the time I got to run either...

Anyways, hoping to beat that with my SVT... :D

the stage 3 shocks the drivetrain so hard, is almost impossible to get traction. the only way i could hook with nitrous in 1st gear is if my tires were at about 12psi. it hooked hard that's for sure. but it rippled the sidewalls so bad that they started to delaminate.

I do intend to get some stickier tires, but slicks seem a bit much. I don't think I'll get the time I want, if I don't get at least a 2.1 or better 60 ft. I'll have to do some shopping around.

There have only been a handful of us, that I've seen, to hit 2.1X 60's on street tires. There's no doubt it can be done, but it does take a little practice, and knowing your car. Every car is a little different, but if you can pull consistent 2.2's, occasional 2.1's will come.

Just ran last night. 4 out of the five runs were faster than my previous times... my 1/4 time and mph still seems low. Though... my best 60' foot info from last night :)

1/4: 15.334 MPH: 88.973

Dyno'd during the hot summer at 183hp / 156tq.

All 5 of my 60' times from last night:
2.400, 2.288, 2.097, 2.346, 2.384. The track was very sticky... after seeing the 3rd run times, I was getting too anxious on the line to do proper launches. Also, my e-brake is broken so I couldn't preload the powertrain like I usually do.

I know! My previous best was 2.354... so I was really surprised. With that one I ran about 30f/40r psi, full hard koni adjustment all around, had solid mounts. For the 2.097 run, I have OEM mounts, ES insert in the front, boxed a-arms, and I didn't mess with the tire psi or koni valves. That one run, the tires didn't spin or hop. The 2.346/2.384 runs after it, I either spun the tires or they started hopping a little.

My car has always done slow 1/4 runs, even with all the bolt ons. I've compared dynos with another local CSVT (stock) done at the same place and on the same day, and I have waaay more low end, and a decent amount top end, but the middle is the same.. even lower than that stock car. Not exactly sure what the problem is. Don't want to divert this topic any further either.

I think my best 60' was 2.345 or so with horrible spins and shakes and non-grippy Toyo proxes tires of some version that are no longer on the car. Trying to slip a stage two clutch with finesse has yet to happen, it grabs too well and I'm a crappy driver. I'd love a 2.1 60' launch to match with my top end.
