Exactly! Honestly, if an employer isn't willing to work around your prior engagements, is that someone you really want to work for? It's almost standard procedure for employers to allow new employees to have previously arranged vacation time, off.

Yeah...definitely don't walk into SZ with a chip on your shoulder and think everyone doesn't like your ride, because you're going to be on the defensive the entire weekend. You won't enjoy yourself that way.
Nobody likes everyone's car, so don't hover around yours expecting to receive praise all day. You like it, so that's all that matters.

SZ is full of good people - you'll enjoy yourself once you drop your defenses and just have fun.
