I almost bought one of these but my Ai-Net headunit was too old, according to Alpine here: KCA420i (http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/products/product.php?model=KCA-420i) Which headunit did you use it with?

i have a real old alpine - CDA-7894 and use this with my ipod.

although searching for songs/artists is nearly worthless on the very old models(with 2500 songs anyway).
finding playlists is quick and easy and its an added bonus to be able to do everything from the head unit and leave the ipod in the glove compartment..all while charging the ipod.
