I've got the "standard" AM/FM/Cassette. Periodically, both left speakers cut out. I read in one of the other threads that one speaker cutting out may be due to a separation in the boot in the front door due to the stresses imparted by opening and closing the door.
But something like that should only affect one speaker, right? Not the front and rear left channels???
Any ideas? I have a feeling () that it is probably not in the head unit, but don't know enough about what's behind there to see how both speakers' wiring would/could be affected.
Should I (or better yet, can I) replace the harness and hardwire the speakers? Or should I just forget it and opt for a new aftermarket head unit as well? Would prefer not to go that far: I only use this for radio and for playing my iPod (through an FM transmitter).
Inquiring minds would like to know . . .
(Thanks)
