Kinda stupid, but I couldn't find a solid answer on the forums, and need help soon. I finally got the compounds and fine grit sandpaper and wax and everything i need to restore my headlights, but i can't seem to get the damned things off! I saw something about removing springs by the bulbs, but that doesn't seem to make any sense to me. Why's it so complicated?! lol, please help!

there are 3 little metal tabs that are pushed onto the pins for the headlights. you can see them better on the passenger side as there is more room. pop them off and the headlight comes out. they can be difficult to get off sometimes though.

as always, striker, you've come through in a pinch with your expert knowledge! got them off, and got the headlight sanded and polished, now just waiting on the wax to dry. i definitely learned something helpful for the next one, though: cover the bulb holes with plastic wrap! or maybe just leave the bulbs in. it's going to take quite a bit longer because the inside of the lamp is now filled with condensated water. :(
