Putting Svt exhaust on non svt

Can I fit the back of an SVT exhaust to my stock exhaust by welding it in at some point in the straight part just before the T juntion. Are the pipes at that point the same diameter?

The svt's resonator is screwed otherwise I would just bolt the entire section in.

Got the exhaust welded up today. It was a really straightforward job according to the mechanic. The hardest part was finding someone competant ( and willing) to do the welding. I also had the stock SVT passenger side muffler hanger to bolt on so that simplified things greatly.
