Tomorrow's project

I have a red floor neon right now and I like it except for the fact that it has to plug into the cigarrette lighter, kinda dumb. So here's what I'm doing tomorrow and I just have a few questions. I am going to cut the cigarrete connector off and splice it into the wires from the headlight switch so that it comes on and off with my headlights. Not that hard of a job but will it work? And the wires I am talking about are the ones in between the switch and the relay. I figure I should just tap into the parking lights wire that carries 12 volts when the parking lights are on. I'm going to put a switch inline on the positive just in case I feel like having the floor light off.

it will work the way your talking about. I have my pillar gauges done that way

I just finished up. I ended up tapping into the foglights and I put a switch inline. I always have my foglights on anyway when I'm driving. Works pretty well but it was a pain working under the dash:mad:.
