Hi All

Just bought my second CSVT the other day and just wanted to say thanks for all the great info on this site.

I got kinda lucky buying both of them. First one is a black/blue 98. Bought mainly as a parts car b/c it was not running right. Turns out 2 plug wires on backward and wrong plugs, not to mention a broke vane on the water pump. Runs great now. Does need a upper radiator tie and header panel.

Second car was a real steal. I bought it out of Boston. I live northeast of ATL. Bought unseen, minus pics. 99 Tropic Green, 91K miles. Pretty much mint, minus bad 2nd and 3rd gear syncros. Drove it 1100 miles without a bit of trouble!! What luck. Did play the lotto when I got home. Still lost.........

So now I need to figure out how to get the tranny out and where to have it rebuilt.

Let the fun begin!!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the family. Yes it sound like you got a great deal. How the he** did you steal that from us New Englanders. I would have loved to pick that one up. The tranny's arn't that hard to pull and Terry Haines is the man to have it rebuilt by. Search for the name and you'll find out why.

Welcome to the site! There's more info on here than you could imagine!

BAT and CTA Motorsports (both companies are inter-related) have, the last time I checked, brand new MTX-75s for $1100 and rebuilt for $750, without a core charge. Check out ctamotorsports.com and/or batinc.net.
