I recently picked up a 96 ford contour 2.0 ztech atx.
I bought it with a snapped serpentine belt for a good price.
I hope im not in for a headach getting this car running
I have no experiance with newer ford cars.We build/race 60's mustangs and DSM's.You guys prolly dont like DSM's huh?
Anyways I hope I can learn and contribute somethings here.

Well, welcome to the site. Serpentine belts are pretty straight forward, makes me wonder if it was the timing belt that went? Don't see why you would get a good deal for just a busted serp. belt.....

Anyway! Search around the site, lots of knowledge to be found here. The Zetecs are not that problematic, so shouldn't be in for much trouble at all.

Welcome, good luck with the 'tour. I dig your username. I don't think you'll draw too much flak for being a DSM guy...

I don't have a problem with DSM's. I test drove a 2g awhile ago, and the thing freaking hauled!!!!

Used to own one...just a lame-o 92 talon 2.0 N/T. Got good gas milage on it though. LOL. I keep wanting to get a nice 6 bolt but the fiance won't let me....even she knows they don't like to keep running.
