wetsand rear reflector?

i have a few scratches on my rear reflector, could i wetsand it with 2000 grits and make it look new or would it look foggy? thanks

should work if the scratches arent too deep. youll want to finish with a fine rubbing compound tho

depending on how deep they are, you may wanna start with a harsher sandpaper, maybe 1000 or a bit less if they are very noticeable scratches, and since you're actually worried about it, they probable are. you'll be at it all day with 2,000 grit.

I think maybe you shouldn't start with harsher sandpaper. I tried that approach when I tried wetsanding the clearcoat ridge from my ding gaurds and I ended up with scratches I couldn't buff out. Try 2000, if it doesn't work, go to 1500, and so on.
