Louder the L7s

I have a pair of kicker L7's and I am no too happy with the output I am getting from them. I think they are dieng on me. I want to get a new sub with better output.. What do you guys think i should do? W7, Eclipse pro?? I had a stroker and the SQ wasn't very good so i dont know. Please post recomendations.

Your f'ing kidding me right? Do you have them wired like they should be with that amp at 1ohm? Is your box to spec? What are you looking for? a brain hemorage at the push of a button? phish :) Seriously, either they're underpowered or in a bad enclosure.

I have one Kicker L5 12 in the Kicker ported enclosure on a Rockford Fosgate 601S (1800-2channel) and it sounds great.

Did you do their one week warm up stage or just installed and turned the stereo to max?

Your going to have to make your mind up if you want to bust windows or sound good!!!!! A long time ago when i first started competing I used to get beat every time by one 12" stroker. So I know they are loud. I'llm just put my .02 in and say look into how much power you have. those subs are hungry for it. If you want new stuff I'll reccomend what my car is done with and that is all Memphis Car Audio

I got used on ebay so that is why i am a little worried. I think i am just going deaf though.. lol... The subs are at 1 ohm, getting 2000 watts rms. The box is built to specs, each subs has 4.5 feet ported. I heard a pair of 12 w7's last night running of of 1 1000.1 mono and they sounded about as loud to me. I could tell the JL's were underpowered. Is that about where they should be? I know you dont know the install specs and there is a lot of variables. I am gonna get my spl measured and I will post it when i do... What do you guys think i would hit?If anyone is in the area id love to have you come out and check em out though.

Which Brahma subs are you guys running? Is the Brahma 12D4 just a DVC and the 12D2 is single?

They are both DVC, D4 is dual 4 ohm coils while D2 is dual 2 ohm coils. Different load wiring options with each.

I have 2 L7's in my trunk. I also have a 1600 watt amp that pushes them. I have found out that I get more base bridging them amp and running one sub verses running in stereo and using both. I had some issues with them when I first got them. They didn't sound good at all. Pulled them out of the box and rewired everything. I wired them at 2 ohms. Everything sounds great now. I am going to be building a ported box for one sub cause I need the room in the trunk. Just need to get the supplies.
