225-45-17 on a fsvt rim

does anyone think, or have experience putting a 225-45 on a fsvt rim. i have them on the car now with a 215, but i can get a heck of a lot better deal on a set of 225's. does anyone know if i will have a problem with them rubbing on the fender wells? thanks guys

More than likely, you'll get a SLIGHT rub in the rear. This is an EASY remedy, that even a monkey could fix.

1. Drink a beer
2. Lift rear end with jack and stands.
3. Drink another beer and enjoy the lifted look.
4. Remove wheel.
5. Drink a beer and start to look for a hammer.
6. Use hammer to pound the little knife-edge on the fender, right where it meets the bumper, flat to the fender.
7. Drink another beer and realize that you have one more side to go.
8. Put the wheel back on.
9. Drink a beer and take a 30 minute Sports Center break.
10. Go back out to the garage and repeat on other side.
11. Lower car back down.
12. Call your buddies over for some more beer, and brag about how you seriously altered the body of your car to fit the new wheels and tires.

I've got 225-45-17's on FSVT rims, lowered.. no rubbing. at all.

I like to drink beer, hit stuff with a hammer, then start a project...Last week checking my air pressure was a hell-of-a-time.

Ya drinking beer and starting projects is the best thing in the world next to sliced bread. Anyways im going to be putting the tires on the car today at the shop where i work so i will let you all know about my outcomes, either way i plan on drinking beer and hittiing something with a hammer tonight. *maybe my power steering pump as i believe it may have taken a crap on me*

Not an SVT but a stock 95 SE with Michelin Sports 224/45/17.
