Curbed my 99 SVT today on the way to work, took out a good chunk of passanger side skirt, from a few inches in front of the rear jack cover. tore out most of the metal support straps as well.

SVTs are not exactly common around here, and my hopes of finding a black side skirt are not too high. Should i remove both skirts, and go looking for a stocker front/rear bumper? Will they even fit? (i dont mind losing the 'duel' exaust. I dont really like the look of the ground effects, and would rather drop it an inch using springs, and get the lower CG. thoughts? ideas?

not looking to get rid of the bumpers till i find and install a suitable replacement. I might just rip the skirts off and see how it looks. I need to do something about the front bumper, the lower inch of it was tore up pretty good already from bottoming out under heavy brakeing.

are the side skirts SVT specific, or are they shared on other contours?

They only came on SVT's but will fit other models. The other option are SE sideskirts which don't really look great with the SVT bumpers. All contour body parts are interchangeable between all years except for 95-97, which has a different front end. Keep me in mind if you ever do decide to get rid of them :)

Note, the cheaper ones (around 125 bucks) are unpainted, just a heads up.

That is what you want, but I believe all of those are painted, hence the color designation on each listing. Some colors/sides are just cheaper than the others for whatever reason.

IIRC the non-SVT bumpers wont fit over the bigger Radiator of the SVT.

If you want it fixed, get some bondo and fix it yourself. Then just get them painted to body color or do it yourself.

I just bought the "Silver Frost Side Skirt" from team ford parts and it was blank. Cost me $110 to have it painted.

Well, that's a little silly of Ford then, isn't it?

SVT sideskirts do not come painted anymore. They are like 163 or 136 bucks a side i beleive. Ford site needs to be updated

IMO I wouldn't leave the svt without side skirts. It looks naked without them!
Get them from steve at tousely ford. Good price
